Dendrite, a typical geological pattern, is developed along the bedding plane in limestone and dolomite strata Jinzigou area, Zhoukoudian, Beijing, China, with self-similar dendritic morphology. In order to reveal dynamic mechanism of its formation, diffusion-limited aggregation method, model fractal growth, was selected simulate microscopic formation. Take an L × square lattice, = 200 lattices, 20,000 particles, 250 30,000 for simulation. Obtain simulation results pattern intermediate 8057 10,827 random particles released process particles. The show that formed dimension about 1.6. Its morphology characterized by geometry, formation growth phenomenon generated self-organizing criticality. nonlinear non-equilibrium evolutionary process, which far from equilibrium. It consistent Zhoukoudian dendrite (1.52–1.78). Diffusion-limited (DLA) growth. leads randomly branching structures closely resemble various important systems earth sciences, providing theoretical basis revealing nature complex processes.
